PEX7-COP PCIe CoProcessor with Kintex7 FPGA and FMC site.
ISI LLC, a Molex company, have released their newest PCIe board, a Co-Processor centred around the Xilinx Kintex7 FPGA, the PEX7-COP. The PEX7-COP is ideal for hosting a high pin count (HPC) FMC module for data acquisition/signal generation applications. The Innovative family of FMC modules provide Adc and Dac combinations at upto 1.25GSPS. The family includes the FMC-1000, FMC-500, FMC-310, FMC-250, FMC-Servo and FMC-SDF. These devices provide the highest performance converters available complete with clock sources for the most demanding acquisition applications. The PEX7-COP comes with a choice of 325T2 or 410T2 Kintex7 device fitted. The FPGA is connected to DDR3-1600 64 bit wide 2GB memory, offering > 10GB/s streaming to/from the logic, which is used for decoupling the data stream between FMC site and host.
The board is ideal for :
- FPGA co-processing and acceleration
- Wireless Receivers – LTE, WiMAX, SATCOM
- RADAR, Signal Intelligence
- Medical Imaging
- High Speed Data Recording and Playback
- IP development
The board comes complete with software drivers and examples for Windows and Linux operating systems. The libraries and example apps are written in C++ and are supplied with sourcecode. Drivers for using the boards in LabVIEW and Matlab are also available. Customers who wish to customise the logic in the FPGA need to purchase the Framework Logic library.
